The expression \"can't see the wood for the trees\" is thought to have been in use since the 16th century. It is about getting caught up in details and missing the big picture. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

With \"Wood for the Trees\" I want to remind myself to lift my gaze, pay attention to complexity, diversity and existence as relational, sensitise myself to unknowns, unmeasurables, and with curiosity attempt to expand my attention. And I want to invite you into this space. This is not a space that offers specific answers, solutions or right ways of thinking, being or doing. Rather, returning to the metaphor of Wood, or Forest, this is about something in constant dynamic change, a forest that reaches in all directions and that offers a Place of belonging to multiple generations and species (including humans). This forest is simultaneously microscopic and cosmic, spatial and temporal. It is not owned by anyone, but gives space to everyone. There is no destination in this quest, no goal or certificate. The forest offers space for co-creation, question-asking, imagination, story-telling, curiosity and play. A safe glade for exploring uncertainty. It holds, embraces, even when cracks may appear in foundations, when the ground under feet that would otherwise navigate along certain well-worn tracks, begin to shake. This glade in these Woods opens up for dialogue and ability to sit with uncertainty, the uncomfortable, that which is difficult to put into words but that is just as loud.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
